Cafe "Grenki" is located in the center of the southern capital and relatively recently completed work on the implementation of energy efficient and resource saving measures.
The total area of the institution is 300 sq.m., and the menu is distinguished by a variety of dishes. However, now the cafe differs from other tourist sites not only in its cuisine, but also in the use of green innovations.
Back in August 2022, a memorandum of cooperation was signed within the framework of PERETO, and the project consultant in Osh, Nurlan Irisov, worked to inform the owner of the Grenki cafe, Nurlan Toktoshev, about the need to introduce energy-efficient measures.
As a result, Nurlan Toktoshev attracted investments, purchased and installed energy-efficient lighting, exhaust ventilation, water-saving faucets, an air conditioner with an A + class heating function, and also insulated the floors.
“The results are significant, the building has become warm and bright. Previously, there were not enough air conditioners and there was no ventilation, but now the air in the hall has become cleaner. In the kitchen, the floor was insulated with a screed, before there was only tile on the floor, it was cold and the employees often got sick. As an entrepreneur, I also appreciate the benefits of using green technologies - I began to pay 5,000 soms less for electricity. We are pleased to continue cooperation with PERETO, in the future we want to install a solar collector, we have calculated its benefits,” said Nurlan Toktoshev.”
