This was announced by the PERETO project manager Maksat Damir uulu during the tourism business forum “Development of the Tourism Sector in the Regions of the Kyrgyz Republic” in Cholpon-Ata.
Among other main directions of the project, the PERETO manager also noted the promotion of energy and resource efficiency among the HoReCa and tourism sectors, as well as raising awareness of this among the country's youth.
Maksat Damir uulu also added “Together with the Academy of Tourism, we are developing additional disciplines on the green economy, energy and resource efficiency (ERE) and sustainable production and consumption (SCP), so that in the future graduates of this university will have an idea about innovative technologies and their role in preserving the environment. In the future, we plan to extend these training courses to all universities of the Kyrgyz Republic.
Further, the project manager spoke about the achievements of PERETO, in particular, that at the moment the project experts have consulted more than 740 businessmen of the HoReCa and tourism sector free of charge on the subject of competent thermal insulation of objects, installation of equipment based on renewable energy sources (RES), as well as saving electricity, water, coal and gas. PERETO also conducted free energy audits at 26 tourist sites out of 64.
In conclusion of his speech, Maksat Damir uulu invited the participants of the business forum to visit the PERETO website, where a large amount of interesting information is collected, as well as to receive free consultations from PERETO experts in a tent located on the territory of the Rukh-Ordo cultural center, where the business forum was held.
