The yurt complex located near the Kadzhi-Sai village in the ecologically clean zone of Southern coast of Issyk-Kul is very popular among ecotourists. The Complex represents a small village of 25 snow-white yurts. Hundreds of tourists from around the globe visit the Complex every year. The eco-complex allows tourists to get a feel of nomadic culture and to live inside the real yurt.
By using modern renewable energy technologies, the eco-village provides all the necessary conditions for a comfortable stay without harming the environment.
A system of five solar collectors supplies hot water, which is stored in a special storage tank and used when needed. Additionally, electric heaters that have been mounted to the storage tank operate in cloudy weather. This allows the system to be entirely autonomous and ecofriendly.
BENEFIT
Such eco-friendly approach allows the complex owners to benefit from significant cost savings as the water heated by solar energy is sufficient during summer and high tourist season. The system covers all the hot water needs of the complex and additionally saves up to 18 MWh annually. This system also helps to reduce CO2 emissions by 4.8 tons.
