Statistics show that ecotourism is becoming more popular. This is particularly true for Issyk-Kul Oblast of Kyrgyzstan which has been visited by many tourists from the CIS and other foreign countries. The Oimo-Tash yurt complex located on the southern coast of Issyk-Kul lake is one of such modern eco-facilities that can accommodate between 200-300 guests during summer.
From the onset of construction, the owners set the goal to provide worthy vacation for their customers and to minimize the environmental impact.
According to the consultants assessing the project, the key energy saving measures were the compliance with the European standards in the use of solar energy technologies to heat water for showers and toilets, and the use of energy-saving systems for the lighting.

According to the estimates, these measures allowed to save 20.28 MWh of energy and reduce CO2 emissions by 4.83 tons annually.
