Alma Villa is a newly built, modern, and family-friendly facility located just 100 meters from the beach of Issyk-Kul Lake in Bosteri village’s recreation area. Designed to accommodate 34 guests, the villa offers access to a roof terrace with stunning views of Issyk-Kul and the surrounding mountains.
The apartments are equipped with advanced kitchens and high-end, energy-efficient appliances, including refrigerators, washing machines, and dishwashers that help reduce water consumption. Water purification systems are also included to ensure high-quality water supply.
The concept of a sustainable guest house originated from Mukhtar, a business owner who emphasized energy efficiency from the outset. The building incorporated extensive insulation throughout, from the foundation to the roof. Additionally, it utilized heat pumps for heating and hot water, which were based on solar-water technology. To enhance air circulation and uphold a pleasant indoor microclimate, four recuperators were also installed.
The guest house adopts a recycling approach, using restored antique furniture to lessen the environmental impact while also adding aesthetic value to the interior design. The landscaping has been in progress for three years, resulting in a green and cosy atmosphere, and the property includes a winter garden.
Benefits
Experts estimate the hotel's environmental friendliness level to be 95%. The energy efficiency measures implemented save 367.1 MWh per year and reduce CO2 emissions by 115.51 tons annually. These measures have also led to significant savings in operating costs; the heating expenses for the 2,000 m² guest house are now comparable to those of a typical three-room apartment. The hotel provides an uninterrupted heating and hot water supply.
Alma Villa plans to install treatment facilities for 150 people in collaboration with neighboring guest houses. This demonstrates the owner's commitment to sustainable development and responsible use of natural resources.
