PERETO expert told Birinchi Radio listeners about energy efficient measures and green economy
17-06-2022

The PERETO project includes practices of sustainable production and consumption, as well as the introduction of equipment based on renewable energy sources (RES) in the HoReCa and tourism sector: resorts, sanatoriums, boarding houses, guest houses, etc. Within the framework of the PERETO project, we work in several directions. Those are climate change, energy efficiency and renewable energy sources, as well as good governance. These are interrelated areas of program activity, which include such principles of "green growth" as the reduction of carbon dioxide emissions, the efficient use of energy resources, the use of clean energy sources, and equitable access to resources and transparency in decision-making. We work on several levels, including problem analysis, lawmaking and practical application, which allowed us to discuss reasoned proposals based on analysis and implement practical examples at the community level, such as insulating schools, houses, installing solar panels and collectors.

An energy efficient, sustainable building is one approach to implementing the principles of a "green economy" and creates opportunities to solve many social and economic problems, such as reducing home heating costs, improving the thermal microclimate in the home and reducing negative health outcomes. After all, it is no secret that with the onset of cold weather, many families with low incomes cannot afford to buy coal and firewood for heating and are forced to huddle in one room for the entire heating period, and we can have it for six months,” concluded Salavat.

The listeners also asked relevant and interesting questions, to which Salavat gave detailed answers. You can listen or view the full recording of the broadcast with our expert here
