Businessmen of the HoRECa sector and tourism of Issyk-Kul already have considerable experience in the implementation of "green" technologies and now want to improve the equipment that they have installed earlier, in other words, to use the potential of innovation to its fullest. This was announced by the leading engineer of Unison Group Zhanybek Kulumbetov following the results of the training “Implementation of sustainable production and consumption (Sustain. Prod. Consum.) measures, as well as energy and resource efficiency (ERE) for the development of the HoReCa sector in the Kyrgyz Republic” within the framework of the PERETO project.efficiency (ERE) for the development of the HoReCa sector in the Kyrgyz Republic” within the framework of the PERETO project.
At the same time, engineer Zhanybek Kulumbetov emphasized that, despite the experience, entrepreneurs often neglect the help of engineers, specialists and entrust the installation of equipment to non-professionals, as a result, the equipment becomes unusable and businessmen have to suffer losses.
“There was a case when a foreigner organized a guest house for children in Issyk-Kul. They installed 6 solar collectors with a capacity of 600 liters, but they made the mistake of installing a 350-liter battery tank. Consequently, there was more heated water than the tank could fit. As a result, the equipment was out of order and had to be ordered again” the expert noted.
According to Zhanybek Kulumbetov, this example demonstrates the need of businessmen in the HoRecA sector for professional consultants who can give technical advice when installing renewable energy equipment (Renew. Energ.).
“Another example, an entrepreneur planned to install a solar station with a capacity of 30 kW, since the electricity demand of his facility was 30 kW. We recommended him to apply a simpler solution: instead of an expensive solar station, for which it is necessary to find a place to install heat pumps and solar collectors. Thus, the equipment cost him half the price, and he was able to save a lot of money” the expert concluded.
