In Bishkek, the PERETO project, jointly with the youth organization IDEA Central Asia, is holding an environmental hackathon with the participation of 6 universities in Kyrgyzstan.

Ecothon takes place in Bishkek from December 4 to 7 and brought together more than 50 students from partner universities and members of the IT community from all over the country on one site with the goal of creating digital solutions to reduce the effects of climate change in Kyrgyzstan in the field of promoting sustainable tourism, energy saving and energy efficiency.

Ecoton mixed several formats: training and research, presentations by experienced experts in the field of IT, design thinking and the art of pitching (presentation and evaluation of digital solutions), in addition, mentors worked with each team: they provided support, guidance and identified points of growth and development.
